This interactive presentation, resulting from the recent re-design of a fourth-year advanced speaking and listening course, seeks to: 1) provide parameters for teaching to ACTFL speaking and listening standards; 2) give attendees an opportunity to enter into the course design process; 3) demonstrate step-by-step the creation of course materials; 4) discuss assessment. Finally, we shall also briefly examine how an advanced course might differ from the intermediate level.
